Rossi & Sons, established in 1980 under the name P&L Tax Service, has a diversified practice as to both the type of clients we service and the wide array of services we provide. Our business clients range in size from a midsized manufacturing company to small family owned enterprises operating in various industries. We advise these clients in areas of business start-up, income tax planning and compliance, financial statement preparation, bookkeeping services, business tax compliance, payroll services, business mergers, acquisitions and sales.
Our individual clients consist of individuals from all walks of life, from single individuals, families just starting out, to families looking to send their children to college, or couples nearing or enjoying retirement, for whom we provide tax planning and compliance services for income and estate taxes.

The following are brief backgrounds of the firm's partners and senior team members:
Peter R. Rossi, is the founding partner of the firm. With over forty years in the accounting and tax profession, Peter has extensive experience in all areas of tax planning and compliance. Peter is a graduate of Iona College, holding a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Peter is a member of New York/Connecticut Association of Tax Professionals, regularly attending courses and updates given by the NY/CT ATP. Prior to founding the firm, Peter was the Tax Manager and Assistant Treasurer for Somerset Importers Limited, and was the Assistant Tax Manager for Canada Dry.
John T. Rossi, joined the firm as a Partner in October 2002. John is a graduate of Marist College, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. John has over 10 years of Public and Private accounting and finance, and income and business tax experience.
Prior to joining the firm John was a Senior Tax Analyst with IBM Corporation, a Financial Analyst and Senior Staff Accountant with Norelco Consumer Products Company, a division of Philips Electronics north America Corporation, and a Senior Staff Accountant with Krasdale Foods, Inc. John's prior experience also includes accounting and business tax experience as a staff accountant at one of the largest public accounting firms in the Hudson Valley, as well as, over 10 years experience in income tax, accounting and business tax experience with Rossi & Sons (formally P&L Tax Service).
